Planning

Climate change, greenhouse gas emissions, building sustainable economies, the cost of energy, and the stability of energy supplies – these are issues that will take on increasing significance as we move on into the 21st century.

Part of the solution is to create programs that will allow institutions to advance resource efficiency measures, making it possible to pay for the cost of such programs through energy savings. The foundation of such programs would include the creation and the adoption of an environmental plan, a building asset plan and a resource conservation plan for an institution. These plans will guide and direct the activities of an institution in a truly sustainable manner.
