Interval Data System and Monitoring

Once the utility database is built and all utility billing information is in order, the next step is creating the ability to compare the monthly utility bills against actual real-time metered data (Interval Data). In most situations, the utility bill information covers bulk usage and cost (monthly and/or bi-monthly) of individual sites/buildings. Interval Data provides the ability to monitor usage in 15, 30 or 60-minute intervals. The Interval Data system is a “critical” diagnostic tool that allows energy managers to spot problems and inefficiencies followed by immediate results (within 24 hours) of any counter-actions taken to improve the situation.
